Jason Smith and Caroline Smith, a husband-and-wife team, founded Dataworks Consulting in Bellevue, Washington, in 2002. Together they have over 20 years of experience in IT consulting, programming, and systems support. Several years ago, Jason and Caroline identified a real need for excellent IT support among small- to medium-size companies that typically have little or no IT support staff. These companies were not well served by "fix-it shops" that came in, fixed a problem, and then disappeared.
This inspired them to start their consulting business. Right from the beginning, it was clear that they were providing something that their clients had never experienced—high-end, proactive, and personalized support. Their approach has proven so successful that they have built their entire business on word of mouth.
Dataworks Consulting provides Jason and Caroline a chance to form close relationships with their clients, which they highly value and which makes their work exciting and rewarding. In fact, they are regularly invited to their clients' holiday parties and feel like they are part of their clients' teams. They hope to continue to provide this level of personalized service to their clients for many years to come.
