Jason Smith and Caroline Smith, a husband-and-wife team, founded Dataworks Consulting Inc. in Bellevue, Washington, in 2002. Together with their employees, they have nearly 100 years of combined experience in IT consulting, programming, and systems support. Several years ago, they identified a real need for high end IT support among small to medium-size companies that typically have little or no IT support staff. These companies were not well served by "fix-it shops" that came in, fixed a problem, and then disappeared.

This inspired them to start their consulting business. Right from the beginning, it was clear they were providing something their clients had never experienced—high-end, proactive, and personalized support. This approach has proven so successful, the entire rapid growth of the business has been built on word of mouth referrals alone.

Dataworks Consulting provides its team a chance to form close relationships with their clients, which they highly value and which makes their work exciting and rewarding. In fact, Dataworks’ employees are regularly invited to their clients' holiday parties and feel like they are an extension of their clients' staff.
